Bensalem Township, in Bucks County, PA was the first municipality in our area to take advantage of the opportunity to "try out" vehicles powered by compressed natural gas (CNG).  This was made possible through the generosity of the Honda, FuelMaker^TM and General Motors Municipality Outreach and Demonstration Program.

Our friends in Bensalem were so impressed by their trial that they have decided to incorporate CNG vehicles into their fleet, and to install a FuelMaker^TM unit of their own for on-site refueling.  The effort was recently highlighted in a Bucks County Courier Times article.  Read the article.

Steven Noll, Deputy Director of the Bucks County Transportation Management Association, presented a PowerPoint explanation of Bensalem's model at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Clean Cities Conference.  The presentation is available for view online: It's a Gas!
