GPCCP responds to the IRS's Invitation to Comment on the
Greater Philadelphia Clean Cities wishes to thank the many Clean Cities coalitions around the country who joined us in responding to the IRS' invitation to comment on implementation of biodiesel tax incentives created through the American Jobs Creation Act. Our response made suggestions that enable a broader audience to take advantage of these new incentives, specifically for neat biodiesel ("B100"). The intention of this initiative is to increase the use of biodiesel fuel and represent the interests of our stakeholders, specifically municipalities and non-profit organizations. The comments were submitted electronically to the IRS on the comment period deadline, February 14th, 2005. There were over 70 signatories including biodiesel industries, organizations, and end-users, with a strong show of support from Clean Cities coalitions throughout the country. Thank you to all of the collaborators who made this possible.
